Gmail users around the world are facing problems with uploading attachments, sending emails with attachments. This outage affected both normal gmail users and G suite users as well. Apart from Gmail, Google Drive has also been affected. Users cannot upload and share files.
According to down detector, the outage started around 12:00 PM SGT today. It says most users are facing problems with attachments.
Google also confirmed the issue with Gmail in its G Suite Status Dashboard. It describes: “We are continuing to investigate this issue. We will provide an update by 8/20/20, 4:00 PM detailing when we expect to resolve the problem”. It showed the status as ‘service disruption’ (orange) and not ‘service outage’ (red).

“Gmail service has already been restored for some users, and we expect a resolution for all users in the near future. Please note this time frame is an estimate and may change.”
Update 3 [7:10 PM SGT] : Google Status Page write:
“The problem with Gmail should be resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support.
