Amazon Web Services (AWS) permanently shut down the Parler, a right-wing-focused social media. Parler was the home for Pro-Trump users who called for violence at the nation’s Capitol and beyond. Parler services suspension started after 24 hours warning from AWS. Therefore, you will see “This site can’t be reached” error message when you go to Parler website.
Parler’s community became popular after the permanent ban of President Trump’s official accounts from Facebook and Twitter. Google and Apple removed Parler apps from their respective app store for violations of their own terms of service, and AWS follows suit with its own suspension notice.
Parler’s CEO said that they will rebuild their infrastructure from scratch to contend the suspensions. But in the meantime, the alternative right-wing-focused apps like Gab are seeing the benefits of deplatforming Parler.
