We could have seen a new sexy color, Matte Black for the future MacBooks according to a new patent published in the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Apple hasn’t sold a black colored MacBook since 2018. Black has always been a premium genuine color but in the current market, the black color used for most phones and devices is not the real black. They actually are dark gray or dark blue.

According to the reports, Apple has plans for plans for an “anodized part having a matte black appearance” that offers “light-absorbing features” and pores containing color particles to maximize “the matte black effect.” That is the actual beauty of this matte color because it absorbs light.

Apple says that it can absorb the light and therefore, it can deliver the true black color without glossiness.

According to the patent documents, the matte black light absorbing can be used on most of the metals and metal alloys including aluminum, titanium, and steel. Therefore, we can expect not only matte black MacBooks but also matte black iPhone, iPad and even in iWatch.
