Facebook releases Messenger Rooms to compete in Video Conferencing Platform. Here are the things you should know about Messenger Rooms.
- Messenger Rooms allow up to 50 people to make a video call.
- There’s no limit in call duration.
- One thing to note is that Messenger Rooms is not in end to end encryption.
- Although Facebook account is needed for the creator of Messenger Room, there’s no need to have a facebook account to join the room.
- Messenger Room can be created through facebook newsfeed, groups and events and need to share the room link to be able to join.
- If you want to use from Messenger app, go to People Tab and tab ‘Create a room’.
- The host can lock the room and also can kick out the members.
- Password-protected feature is not included yet.
- Messenger Rooms can be available in instagram and WhatsApp too.
