Samsung Galaxy Glasses Leak Reveals Meta-Like Design, Price Range, and 2026 Launch Window

Samsung Galaxy Glasses leaked image and smart glasses design

Samsung Galaxy Glasses have reportedly leaked for the first time, offering an early look at what could become Samsung’s first mainstream smart glasses product. The images suggest a design heavily influenced by Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses, while new details also point to price, hardware, and launch timing.

Leaked images show Samsung taking a familiar smart glasses approach

According to The Verge, citing Android Headlines, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Glasses are code-named “Jinju” and look strikingly similar to Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses. The leaked design points to a lightweight wearable focused more on audio, camera use, and AI features than on a built-in display.

The report says the first model could ship without any onboard display at all. Instead, Samsung is expected to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 processor, a 12-megapixel Sony IMX681 camera, a 155mAh battery, and bone conduction speakers.

Samsung may save micro-LED glasses for a more premium model

The first-generation glasses are reportedly expected to cost between $379 and $499, putting them in direct competition with Meta’s display-free smart glasses. A more advanced pair, code-named “Haean,” is said to be in development for 2027 and may include a micro-LED display, with a higher projected price between $600 and $900.

That two-tier strategy would give Samsung a way to enter the smart glasses market quickly while keeping a more ambitious XR product in reserve for later. It also mirrors the wider industry trend of separating lightweight AI eyewear from more immersive display-based devices.

Why the Galaxy Glasses leak matters

Samsung has already confirmed broader Android XR ambitions through its headset work with Google, so smart glasses have long looked like a logical next step. If these leaks are accurate, the company may be preparing to challenge Meta not with a futuristic display-first device, but with a more practical wearable that can ship sooner and reach a wider audience.

The timing is also notable. The glasses could be announced at Google I/O next month or at a later Samsung Unpacked event this year, which would make them one of the most closely watched Android XR products of 2026.
