Facebook users noticed that their followers count are wrong on their profile. Massive drops of followers happened especially in popular artists and influencers. Even the followers of Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s founder and CEO suddenly plummetted from over 110 millions to just 9900.
Although the numbers are wrong in public profile, the correct number can be seen when the number is clicked.
Some social media users said that the drop in followers is because of a bug or a technical glitch while some claimed Meta is taking actions against the bot accounts. Some even said that this could be because of security breaches.
Meanwhile, facebook hasn’t released any official statement.
